PROSTITUTE ATTACK ONDO TASK FORCE OFFICIALS

Commercial sex workers on Saturday in Akure, the Ondo state capital, beat up security officers attached to the State Task Force on Environment, during the state monthly sanitation exercise.
The men attached to the team had their uniforms torn, with various degrees of injuries when the prostitutes attacked them as they tried to enforce environmental laws within the location of the brothel.
Commissioner for Environment, Chief Sola Ebiseeni, who had earlier led the Task Force to some areas within Akure metropolis, said the government was determined to free the state of all kinds of environmental hazards.
During the exercise, a number of residents caught violating the law were picked up and taken away for prosecution.
DailyPost gathered that when a team of the Task Force got to the hotel at Oke Padi, off Lao Street in Akure, the prostitutes in company of their clients, were drinking alcohol and dancing to a loud music.
The personnel then reminded them that the monthly environment exercise was ongoing, saying they must either obey or be arrested.
But the prostitutes kicked against the directive, shielding their clients from the officials.
Moments later, the ladies, in concert with their clients attacked the Civil Defence and security officials attached to the outfit, causing a scene.
Meanwhile, an officer disclosed that the incident, which was an embarrassment, has been reported to the leadership of the Task Force and the state government for further action.

MIKE-ADENUGA, ALREADY PREPARING FOR DEATH ,PAY #200M FOR BURIAL .

2829d15c1e186540a644e25046944cca
A recent update has revealed that Nigerian Billionaire, Mike Adenuga has spent a whooping N200 Million for a burial site.
The burial site, which is located at Vaults and Garden, an ultra modern cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos is now final resting place of the rich and affluent.
According to reports, to get an average space in the cemetery would cost about N750, 000 and above. But if you would rather live an even more affluent life after death, N40 Million would get you some of the executive spots.
Report has it that even the super-rich have their own corner. Adenuga’s recently deceased sister had one of these to herself. The Globacom boss paid N200 Million to secure a space for his sister. Her next door neighbor in this exclusive section is Gboyega, son of another super rich man, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his fashionable wife, Ojuolape. Gbegi, like he was popularly known, was born in 1960 and died in 2011.
Right next to him is one of the founders of GT Bank, Tayo Aderinokun. His final resting place is not only very wondrously decorated, but also boasts of his two giant photographs, smiling on those that are still living. We were informed that before the trio, however, is that of a true man of God, like it is dubbed inside the cemetery – the final resting place of former Redeemed Christian Church of God minister, Pastor Eskor Mfon. Born in 1953, he died in 2007.
It is quite wondrous that these rich are spending so much amount of money to get a posh burial ground, but wouldn’t the money be better served on the living, perhaps, donated to a charity?
What do you think?

ANXIETY AS NO DATE IS FIXED FOR APPEAL COURT JUDGMENT....48HRS TO DEADLINE

THERE is anxiety in Ondo
State with only 48 hours to
the deadline for the delivery
of judgment by the Appeal
Court on the election petition
on the last governorship
race in the state. There is no
notice yet from the court on
when it will hand down its
verdict on the appeal filed by
the candidate of the Action
Congress of Nigeria [ACN],
Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu
[SAN], and his party against
the judgment of State
Governorship Election
Tribunal which upheld
Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s
election. The court has 60
days, according to the 1999
Constitution, to deliver
judgment on appeals arising
from governorship elections
disputes. In the case of the
Akeredolu appeal, Monday,
July 1, is the last day
allowed by the constitution
for the court to rule. The
same day is the deadline for
the delivery of judgment by
the court on the appeal filed
by the PDP candidate in the
election, Chief Olusola Oke.
At press time, counsel to the
litigants in the case had not
been notified by the court on
when judgment will be
delivered. While supporters
of the ruling Labour Party
(LP) are celebrating that the
PDP and ACN are close to
losing the case finally by
Monday if judgment is not
delivered by then, those of
ACN and PDP have been
holding consultations on the
way out. The Court of Appeal
sitting in Akure on Tuesday
heard all parties to the
appeal and reserved
judgment for a date to be
communicated to parties. By
the rules of Court of Appeal,
all parties to the appeal
ought to have been notified
by yesterday if judgment
would be delivered on
Monday. However, findings
by our correspondent at the
Court of Appeal registry
yesterday showed that no
date had been fixed for
judgment .

INEC had also directed the association to set up a national executive as part of its registration process.

ONDO- GOVERNORSHIP TUSSLE : APPEAL MAY ORDER RE-RUN .

AKURE COURT OF APPEAL UPDATE ON ELECTION PETITION !

MAY ORDER A RE-RUN !

As the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure today rounded up its hearing and reserved judgment for a date not farther than July 3 , the petitioners were given a rekindled hope given the body language and questions from the Justices directed to the contentious and now notorious INJECTION of voters into Register of Voters despite there were no new registrations after the 2011 exercise.

The sitting presided over by five Justices ; Muhammed Lawal , Gana Mshelia , Martins Eko , Emmanuel Akomaye and Obientonbara Daniel Kalio gave a fresh hope to fairness and sound principle of laws.

The petitioners hinged their arguments on the validity of the register of voters applied for the purposes of the controversial election of Oct. 20 , 2012. Register of voters were not pasted as one of the conditions precedent for review of voters register.

***OBJ DUMP POLITICS FOR EVANGELISM***

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo may dump politics for evangelism soon, O'odua News has learnt.
The Ota farmer, we gathered has joined other clerics in organising nationwide crusades.
The reason, it was learnt may no be unconnected to the fact that President Jonathan could not allow him to dictate how he wanted Nigeria to be governed.
In protest, Obasanjo was said to have dumped politics for evangelism, having been trained at the National Open University.
He was said to have teamed up with a royal father from his home town, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, Karounwi III, and the world-renowned evangelist, Kayode Williams whose ministry is Bishop Kayode Williams World Outreach, to hold crusades nationwide.
Sources disclosed that Obasanjo, Oba Tejuoso and Kayode Williams, an ex armed robber who repented while in the Sokoto prison, have begun a five-day crusade in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, yesterday.
Confirming the new status of Obasanjo, a cleric who is also an indigene of Ogbomoso, Pastor Kayode Alabi, said, “Yes, it is true that former President, Obasanjo, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso and Bishop Kayode Williams are coming to Ogbomoso for a five-day crusade beginning from today (yesterday).
The whole city is agog for the programme tagged ‘‘Healing Ogbomoso Land Gospel Crusade’’ holding at the Beulah Baptist Convention Ground, Ogbomoso. The programme is being hosted by Ogbomoso Christian Ministers’ Fellowship.”
According to him, Obasanjo may have resolved to spend the remaining years of his life serving God who brought him out of prison and made him president for eight years. He said: “Baba Obasanjo has many reasons for returning to God to serve him. You would recall how Gen. Abacha arrested him with others, sentenced him to death for alleged involvement in a phantom coup; he was set free after spending three years, three months and three days in prison. He was elected president and served for eight years and today he has many reasons to serve the same God. Don’t forget that he graduated as an evangelist from the National Open University. God could use anyone who is ready and willing to serve him.”
