CHARLES OPUTA & DENRELE EDUN ON GAY BIZ

One of which is the question of his sexuality. Perhaps, due to his feminine and flamboyant nature, a lot of people have wondered if he is indeed homosexual.

He addresses the rumors below;

Is Derenle Gay?

I think people believe what they want to believe.

But a lot of people believe you are. And to prove them right, a picture of you Charley Boy went viral on the internet recently…

I don’t read the news, I make the news. The thing is people tend to look for loopholes when they see you doing well. And since people feel I’m feminine in nature, then they think I’m gay. But the truth is I don’t really care about what people say because I’m not fashioned according to what the society expects. And also I think for my personality, if I were gay, the news would have grown from speculations and would have been in people’s face.

On the part of Charley Boy and me, I was not expecting the paparazzi that came with the picture.

So what was the picture about then?

I really don’t want to go into details, but it could have been a controversial agenda, it could have a been a publicity stunt, it could have been the real deal and it could have been photoshopped, but whatever it was, people should just go ahead and make their conclusions.

So why is Denrele still single?

I’m a hustler and I’m still trying to get myself together. When the time comes, I’ll get married definitely, but there’s no one in the picture now. I’m searching and ready to mingle.

Who is your ideal woman?

"I like someone who would not try to change me and who would understand the complexity that I am. I want someone simple and absolutely free and not intimidated by what I represent."

It will probably be interesting to know that he did not outrightly deny being gay, and he avoided pronouns when replying the question regarding his ideal "woman".

Anyway, check out the infamous pictures of him and Charly Boy below. And as for his sexuality, looks like he will continue to keep us

CHILD MARRIAGE SENATOR !

Ondo Central Senatorial District, Ayo Akinyelure.

"My voting “NO” was in clear error of misrepresentation and I had no opportunity to correct what is deemed to be my error now, because voting was done electronically.
If voting were to be done by show of hands, I would have been able to correct my error before voting was concluded by the senate." -

EKITI CRISIS : Fayose , Olubolade trade blames

Former Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose and Police Affairs Minister, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd)Thursday traded blames over the crisis rocking the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).... Fayose came to the Abuja national secretariat of the PDP with a petition, alleging that the Makanjuoala Ogundipe led state Exco had beencompromised by Olubolade through monetary inducements. In the petition he submitted to the national chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Fayose stated that advice by President GoodluckJonathan to the effect that the party should explore the possibility of picking a consensus candidate was being capitalised upon by
Ogundipe to impose Olubolade as a consensus candidate of the PDP.

According to him, Olubolade provided logistics and funding for the Ogundipe Exco to set up an eleven-man consensus committee headed
by retired Justice Ojuolape.

"I wish to state here that those who appeared before the national chairman of the party are all pro Minister of Police Affairs, Caleb
Olubolade. They all came to the national secretariat in an official vehicle provided by the minister to further confirm that the state chairman
had been compromised", Fayose stated.

But in a reaction, Olubolade dismissed Fayose as a drowning man desperate to drag others down with him.

Speaking through his Ekiti State liaison officer, Mr. Alaba Agboola, in Abuja, the minister called on the leaders and members of the Ekiti
PDP not to be distracted in their quest to produce a credible candidate for the party in the good people of Ekiti State.

The minister said: "The Ekiti people are sick and tired of the culture of executive violence characterised by assassinations and killings of
political opponents as witnessed in our dear state in the past.

"Apparently, this culture of violence contributed to the erosion of the image of the Ekiti PDP at the time. What do we make of a situation
where someone aspiring to govern a state would storm the party secretariat with armed thugs wounding and chasing party officials out of
their duty posts.

"Fayose is being haunted by his past and he should be honest enough to situate the blame for his present predicament within the context of
his past deeds and misdeeds.

"Affliction shall not arise for the good people of Ekiti for the second time. The PDP truly desires to reclaim Ekiti State but the party has made
it clear that its candidate will not emerge through a process of violence.

WE MUST RALLY ROUND AMAECHI ---BOLA TINUBU

Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has urged support for Governor Chibuke Amaechi of Rivers State from the hierarchy of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who he claimed, have added public brawling to their achievements.

In a terse statement issued by his media office last night, Tinubu described the ensuing crisis in Rivers State as an orchestrated plan that is in line with the PDP’s definition of democracy where minority opinion prevails over majority. He thus warned that Nigerians must rally round the embattled governor and chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, to ensure that democracy is not re-defined.

He cited the recent election for the chairman of the NGF and the quest of five members of the Rivers State legislature to dominate the others as illustrations of how far the PDP would go to achieve its aims even against reason.

While urging all Nigerians to rally round Amaechi, Tinubu traced the governor’s problem to the face off over ownership of some disputed oil wells between Rivers and Bayelsa States as part of the reasons for the onslaught against Governor Amaechi.

“The PDP appears to have added public brawling to its list of accomplishments. The self-proclaimed largest party in Africa has turned into a fight club that employs the police as ushers for its matches,” Tinubu said.

BUHARI'S SPOKESMAN ACCUSES ACN GOVERNORS OF CORRUPTION

I took PDP's Akala before EFCC in 2010 for awarding roads at N50m per km in LGs in Oyo. Today ACN governors are collecting N1b per km across South West.
**When Tinubu turned 60 years, ACN Governors contributed N1b for a birthday bash, nobody have tried that in Yorubaland before.

General Mohammadu Buhari’s Spokesman and Chieftain of the Save Nigeria Group, Mr. Yinka Odumakin has accused the Governors of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, now in APC, of awarding one Kilometer of Road construction for N1 Billion.

Boasting about his knowledge of Yoruba political leaders, Odumakin said, “I can tell you authoritatively that the most dangerous and terrible tendency in Yoruba politics is the house of deceit that Tinubu represents.”

Odumakin, a spokesman for General Mohammadu Buhari, on his facebook wall recalled how he dragged former Governor Alao Akala to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for awarding One Kilometer of road for N50 Million and said most Yoruba leaders are “greedy.”

Odumakin, a spokesman for General Mohammadu Buhari said:
“Between 1999 and now, I’ve related at close quarters with most actors in the Yoruba political space at close quarters and I know the weaknesses and strengths of all.

“I can tell you authoritatively that the most dangerous and terrible
tendency in Yoruba politics is the house of deceit that Tinubu
represents.

“Only those who have sold their souls will ignore this fact … There has never been any such greedy bunch in our nation- not under “Demo” or even PDP.”

“I took Akala before EFCC in 2010 for awarding roads at N50m per km in all the LGs in Oyo state. Today your Asiwaju is collecting N1b per km across South West.

“When Tinubu turned “60″ ACN states contributed N1b for a bash, nobody tried that in Yorubaland before.

“Chief Adebanjo was chairman of AD in 1999 and not one relation of his got a ticket unlike your Tinubu whose wife is a senator, son- in-law a Rep member, Sister-in-law, a House member in Lagos and daughter now the Iyaloja via imposition .

“Your grouse with the old men may be for reasons you have not stated but you know they are far more honorable than a million Bola Tinubu.

AREGBESOLA BOOSTS ECOTOURISM WITH 2.5M IGI IYE PROJECT

THE Governor of Osun State Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has gone a step further at enhancing the ecotourism status of the state as he inaugurated the 2.5 million Igi-Iye Project at the School of Post Graduate Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife on Tuesday 25 June, 2013.

In a well attended ceremony bereft of political niceties and pontification, Ogbeni Aregbesola declared that “We shall be doing ourselves a mortal disfavour and even risk the curses and wrath of the generations to come if we stand akimbo doing nothing to enhance and rejuvenate the ecosystem, to create conducive atmosphere for the regeneration of the fauna and the replenishing of the flora which we daily deplete and poach into extinction.”

He pointed out that the tree planting scheme was essential to everyone who live on the face of the earth as the well-being of the ecosystem determines the well-being of the people in a given environment.

“Hence our resolve at making the State of Osun a centre of ecotourism enclave where the living cares for the environment and where the environment oozes forth clean air for the living to enjoy long life in good health.,” Aregbesola said.

Governor Aregbesola declared, “What we are initiating today by the launching of Igi – Iye scheme is not a jamboree or a social celebration, but an essential step which we must take now in order to reconnect the broken chain between the land and the atmosphere.

“The earth has been depleted of its trees in this part of the world causing disequilibrium in the sequence order of interaction between the earth and the atmosphere which has not only proved injurious to the living, but portend great dangers if not promptly addressed.

And we at the State of Osun cannot and we should not wait to experience any natural disaster which are preventable.”

He revealed further, “It is the genuine desire of our government to see that our people are totally absolved and insulated from preventable natural and ecological disasters which may be
attributed to failure on our part to act.

“Hence, we have decided to partner with those institutions and individuals who are experts when it comes to handling issues of specific professional configuration and administration like this.”

Governor Aregbesola commended the authority of Obafemi Awolowo University for coming out not only to identify with this project of Igi-Iye, but being a worthy partner for the successful launching, monitoring and implementation of the project.

He pointed out “I must also specially thank the entire Institute of Ecological and Environmental Studies for adopting this project as its baby and I promise that we will not leave any stone unturned until Osun becomes a preferred ecosystem state reference in Nigeria.”

Ogbeni Aregbesola said he was poised to do more for the people of Osun, “Osun people deserve the best of everything and our driving force is the zeal to give them the best they deserve.

A good environment aide’s good health and long life and we want our people to live long in good health. My government will never settle for less.”

He, however, called on the people to appreciate the environment not only by supporting all these lofty schemes aimed at making the environment better, but by being agents of protecting the environment through obeying sanitation laws.”

The Acting Director of the varsity’s Institute of Ecological and Environmental Studies, Dr Olusegun Awotoye described the Igi – Iye initiative as “ a bold effort routed through the right channel and geared towards the preservation of the earth and its threshold.

He said that Governor Aregbesola would be registering his name in the hearts of the environmental and ecological minded people if the initiative is pushed to the letter.

According to Dr Awotoye, the programme is laudable in intent and concept because of its implications on the improvement of environment in the state, adding that it is an effort that is geared towards preventing natural disaster now and in the future.

He disclosed that “ Governor Aregbesola has commenced a beneficial revolution which should be embraced by all and sundry in the state as it will contribute in no small measure to the stability of the environment here in the state of Osun and in Nigeria generally. ”
Dr Awotoye revealed that “ It is commendable and remarkable to note that Governor Aregbesola is the first governor to formally see the virtue and necessity in partnering with professionals in environmental sector in Nigeria. Hence, the collaboration and partnership which our department is strengthening and exploring to boost the well being of the earth.”

The university don who called on the federal and other state governments to join in the fight against environmental degradation said” Environment is the foundation of all resources, so if we missed it in the area of environmental sanitisation and purity we are likely to get to a situation where no living things will survive on this planet again.”

Speaking on the significance of tree planting, Dr Awotoye said tree planting helps in purifying the air, protecting the building against hazardous wind, vehicular emission and other forms of environmental pollution.

The students of the host department commended the bold step of Governor Aregbesola at salvaging Osun State from the claws of environmental disaster and in the recognition of the governor’s contribution to the environmental improvement honoured and bestowed on him an Award of Excellence for “his pro active environmental and ecological strides which have prevented the state from experiencing ecological disaster.”

The Special Adviser to the governor of the state of Osun on Environmental and Sanitation, Hon. Bola Ilori in his speech said the environmental programmes of the State of Osun under the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola are geared towards ensuring good living for the people of the state.

While maintaining that Igi-Iye initiative was an idea that was borne out of the need for environmental protection, Ilori said, “This is just the opening session.

“We are targeting over 10 million trees before the end of the year and this is an all inclusive programme which involves all members of the family in the state.”

COUPLE OF THE YEAR

What's Your Take About This Couple  ?

LAGOS SOCIALITE WOMAN WHO MARRIED TWO HUSBANDS

An Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos was on Tuesday told how a big woman, Mrs. Adedoyin Ogunmefun, allegedly married two men at the same time. Mrs Ogunmefun, who was arraigned with her second husband, was also accused of having children for her two husbands...

Mrs Ogunmefun was arraigned before Magistrate B. O. Osunsanmi, over forgery of National Population Commission certificate of birth AO8/NO/0268923 and AO8/NO/0268922 was said to have been married to one Mr. Abraham Okoro, who she had two children for before leaving to have another child for the second husband.

The prosecutor, Mr. Benson Emurih, told the court that the defendants presented the forged certificates to Parthcare Laboratory in Oduduwa Crescent, GRA, Ikeja. He said the offence was punishable under sections 409,363 (3) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

The first husband, Abraham Okoro said he had lived with his estranged wife between for 7 years, adding that the union produced two children, who were born in Nigeria and US respectively.

He further accused the wife of deserting their marriage for Ogunmefun, who she had a daughter for in 2009.

Consequently, Okoro said the accused was told that for her to be accepted back into her matrimonial home, she would perform some traditional rites of cleansing.

He said his wife who came back home in February 2012, moved out again on November 3, 2012, noting that she suddenly wrote him a letter through her lawyer, Taiwo and Taiwo, in December 2012 claiming that the two children she had for him were not his.
This is a complicated matter. So, is the father of the two children if not the first husband?

TOPE ALABI IN SEX SCANDAL

Renowned yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi is allegedly involved in a messy fight with her spiritual leader, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku.
Prophet Ajanaku in a recent interview made a shocking revelation about the respected Tope Alabi, he stated that his trouble with Tope Alabi started because of sex:
Can you clear the air on the claim by Tope Alabi that she met you [just] 6 years?
She actually met me 11 years ago when she came to church crying that since she married she had no child. I told her that by the grace of God when we shall be holding another anniversary she sill come and dedicate her child before God. I have pictures of the child dedication, I christened the child Deborah.
There are many things concerning her and the husband that I will never tell anyone, never ever. If she had not said that she met me only six years ago, I would not have called you to show all these pictures. And if I say what God has used me to do in their lives, with proofs and medical test records in their hands, they will be ashamed of themselves. But I will like you to share it with us to put records straight?
I’m wondering if she’s being foolish or just stupid. I remember when she was putting pressure on me to have sex with her. She did not hide her urge to have sexual relationship with me. At a point she could not control her urge to do that but I declined, I said never, not me. Ask these people here (in chorus, the members seated confirmed his claim).
Meanwhile, Tope Alabi and her husband, Soji, are denying the Prophet’s allegations.

SSS NABED KIDNAPPERS OF WIFE AND DAUTHER OF JUSTICE RHODES-VIVIOUR

Three members of a gang that allegedly kidnapped the wife, daughter and driver of a justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, in May, this year, were among seven suspects paraded by the State Security Services in Benin City today.
The other suspects paraded were three extortionists who threatened to kill their victim if he didn’t pay up and a musician who was paraded for trafficking in persons.
The State Director of the SSS, Mr. Bello Bakori who paraded the suspects before the Governor and the Press said the suspects had confessed to the crime and that three members of the kidnappers of the Judge’s wife are still at large.
He said Mrs. Rhodes-Vivour and her daughter were kept in a house in Upper Sokpomba, area of Benin City from where the kidnap suspects were arrested. All the kidnap suspects were from Delta State while the trafficker in persons is from Edo State.
The Governor who was miffed that despite Government’s warning that landlords should screen their tenants to ensure that their properties are not used by criminals said the buildings used by the kidnap suspects to hold the Judge’s wife, daughter and driver will be demolished at the appropriate time.
“For the landlords, we have already made the decision that anyone that aids and abets kidnapping will have his structure demolished. Any hotelier who does not follow the instruction of documenting who stays in the hotel and such are used for kidnapping or human trafficking we will demolish it. Nobody has the right to make money out of the pains of Nigerians”, he said.
Oshiomhole expressed joy that the security agencies were able to arrest the gang that kidnapped the wife and daughter of the Supreme Court Justice, saying “this is a major breakthrough. What is important is for criminals to know that there is no more immunity. It is a matter of when, not whether, they would be caught and that the officers and men are determined to do their best and those involved in crime would be brought to justice.
He noted “majority of these criminals, 95% of them are from Delta State. It shows in this business of crime, criminals are very mobile. No State can find a solution as they keep moving from one State to the other. When their colleagues hear that they have been put on trial, they would look elsewhere.”
To members of the public the Governor said :“this is something that people should take into account, that your own relation may well be the source of your problem. Your own cook may well be the source of your problem; your guard may well be the source of your problem. All of us need to be careful and not take anything for granted.
“The lesson from this effort is that when we report to law enforcement agents, they can be arrested, but when we pay ransom, then we are providing additional incentives for the criminals to remain in business. Every ransom we pay is an opportunity for them to do more. For me the message is clear, we must resist paying ransom. We must take law enforcement agencies into confidence. We must trust them .
